How do I know whether my deck needs a resurface or a full rebuild?

The framing inspection tells you. If the joists, ledger, and posts are sound, a resurface is usually the right call. If the structure has serious rot or movement, a rebuild may be the safer investment. Bill will walk the deck with you and give you a straight answer either way.

Can I resurface a wood deck with composite?

Yes, in most cases. The framing needs to support composite, which can have different load requirements than pressure-treated wood. The inspection covers this, and we will tell you up front if the existing framing needs reinforcing before the composite goes on.

How long does a resurface take?

Most resurfaces take about a week on-site once construction begins, similar to a new deck of the same size. Larger or multi-level resurfaces run longer.

What is the price range for a resurface?

Resurfaces fall into the same general range as our new builds, with the framing condition as the main variable. The more framing repairs needed, the closer the price gets to a new build. We do not take on resurfaces under 200 sq. ft.
