Deck Warranty Coverage

Our five year deck warranty covers any structural damage related to the actual construction of the deck.  Which includes your deck and stairs in the event that they begin to sink, shift, or lean.

Sinking: If you notice that your deck or stairs become unleveled because either one or all foundation posts have sank, or the ledger board has dropped or separated from your house, this would be covered under your warranty.

Shifting: If you notice that your deck or stairs are not level because one or all foundation posts have shifted upward, this would be covered under your warranty.

Leaning: If you notice your deck or stairs start leaning left or right because the foundation posts are leaning in that direction, that would be covered under your warranty.

It is important to note that the original owner must own the deck in order to maintain the warranty. Meaning, if you build a deck and move out of your home the next year, the new homeowner will not inherit your warranty.

Importance of a Deck Warranty

Other deck contractors may try to sell you on how structurally sound their decks are and that they are built to last. However, if there is no guarantee that they will return free of charge in the next five years if something goes wrong, how much faith can you put in a contractor?

Diamond Decks is a certified Master Deck Professional builder through the North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA), an industry group that promotes safe, affordable, and high-quality deck building.

When you’re ready to start designing and building your deck, give us a call at 443-599-8710 or contact us online! We offer free estimates for all homeowners throughout Columbia, Annapolis, Ellicott City, Severna Park, and other Maryland communities.
